Include a link to your LinkedIn profile in your resume

Did you know that including your LinkedIn profile on your resume increases your chances of getting an interview and a callback?

According to LinkedIn, 93% of recruiters use the tool to recruit candidates. Now is the time to stop and update your LinkedIn profile. Recruiters are looking for you, but when you don’t update your profile or don’t have a profile, how can they reach you? No need to say more. If you don’t have a profile, now is the time to create one.

LinkedIn Recommendations

In a competitive job market, it can be challenging to ensure your profile stands out. With Linkedin recommendations, you can strengthen your brand by having others speak to your work history. My suggestion is to have at minimum one recommendation for each job. The recommendations should be diverse in highlighting the various roles and or projects you’ve supported.

LinkedIn Job Board

A Linkedin job board is a great way to learn about new opportunities and companies. If you find yourself short on time, you can set up job alerts where you are notified daily or weekly on new opportunities that match your search criteria. If you chose to go with the premium options, you’d have access to see how your profile matches up to others that have applied to the role. You also have access to see additional company information. As you’re searching, it will be essential to conduct your research on the company, and their LinkedIn company site is a great place to start.
