With a lot of people switching to working from home with our current climate, I wanted to share three quick tips that will help with fighting boredom and staying productive.
1. Pick a room that gets natural sunlight, or that has good lighting.
Selecting a room that has good lighting or sunlight will have a positive impact on your mood, well-being, and ability to be able to focus. Natural sunlight is the best, but the next best thing is good lighting.
2. Listen to music
Sticking with the theme of boosting energy and productivity, listening to music is my favorite tip for working from home. It’s the perfect opportunity to vibe to your favorite artist and get the creative juices flowing. It’s nothing like having a concert while getting things done and feeling good! As I write these tips I’m currently swaying and listening to music!
3. Change up work locations
To resist boredom and inability to focus if you’re working from home, try working in different rooms. For example, maybe work in the dining room or den. Switching rooms is a great way to change the scene and improve your energy. Also, working outside of the house at your local coffee shop or library are also other great options once things improve within the current climate. So stay safe, but for now, switching rooms will also work!
For my new remote workers, what the most significant difference you’ve noticed since working from home?
